Announcing… the final set of artists for 2022

A line-up three years in the making, we are so happy to reveal that festival favourites James will get the Black Deer party started this summer. The legendary band, whose career has spanned a staggering five decades and more than 25 million albums sold worldwide, will bring their charismatic live show to the deer park on Friday June 17th.

Joining Van Morrison, Wilco, The Waterboys and Imelda May, the ‘Sit Down’ and ‘Laid’ superstars are the latest big names announced for 2022, alongside Grammy-nominated country hero Cam, Americana poster boy Hiss Golden Messenger and folk-pop favourites Darlingside. “We are absolutely thrilled to play Black Deer this year,” says M.C. Taylor from Hiss Golden Messenger. “After so many years away from the UK due to COVID, we can’t wait to return to a place that continues to be very special to us.”

“Black Deer is about experiencing the unique cultural richness that surrounds this popular way of life we call Americana. The natural ingredients that complete this simple melting pot can all be found at Black Deer – from authentic smokehouse BBQ cooking and a righteous Sunday gospel brunch to the thrill of custom motorcycle culture and a connection with nature to inspire the young folk. Black Deer is a community gathering for those who love to get it
together in the country…” – Gill Tee and Deb Shilling (Co-Founders).
