Black Deer wins at the Independent Festival Awards

Independent Festival Award Winner

The winners of the Independent Festival Awards 2018 were revealed at a packed-out event in Sheffield last night.
And… Black Deer came away victorious, bagging:

What an achievement.
Even more so given the other amazing festivals Black Deer was up against.
And so a huge congratulations to all involved at this year’s event, it really was a brilliant night put on by the AIF – The independent UK festival scene is one we’re extremely proud to be a part of.
We’re also incredibly proud of the Black Deer family – the team, and all of you who joined us in the Deer Park in the summer.
We’ve said this a fair few times already now; But simply, without you none of this would have been possible.

“It was an emotional night, not least for winning our first award after an incredible inaugural year introducing our vision for Black Deer but excited for where it can go, and to know that the festival community is right there behind us too.
Furthermore, our thoughts are with the Tramline team and the family of Sarah Nulty, who was posthumously honoured with the Outstanding Contribution award for her incredible achievements and the huge admiration everyone within the festival community had for her.”

We can’t wait to welcome you all back to the Deer Park, and reveal our 2019 world…
