EMERGING ARTISTS AT THE SUPAJAM STAGE AT THE YARD: ONES TO WATCH

This year’s eagerly awaited Black Deer Festival promises to be the best one yet! The festival is renowned locally for its steadfast support for emerging artists and there is an array of up-and-coming talent on show at The Supajam Stage at The Yard in 2021.

Dull Knife

Local duo Dull Knife, who are mesmerising to watch live, will be headlining the Friday evening with their grunge-laden Americana offering an expansive sound reminiscent of The White Stripes.

Smoke Feathers

Front man Matthew Falloon pens beautiful and ethereal songs. With a voice described as Sting meets Jeff Buckley, you just might fall in love with their beautiful sound.

The Orange Circus Band

For fans of foot-stomping raucous bluegrass look no further than The Orange Circus Band. Consistently championed by Bob Harris in recent times, they’re a great live attraction.

Luke Jackson

Luke’s been making waves across the UK and beyond for many years now. At 17 he was nominated for the BBC Radio 2 Folk awards and his astonishing soulful voice and consummate guitar playing leaves audiences spellbound. His headline set on Saturday evening promises to be something very special indeed, with a superb band in tow.

James Kirby

To bring proceedings to a climactic finish, Sunday headliner James Kirby is not to be missed. James is renowned as one of the most talented and hardworking artists out there. Reminiscent of Dave Matthews, Frank Turner and Passenger, his uplifting and vibrant style is underpinned by his thought provoking lyrics, versatile and percussive guitar playing whilst often interweaving blues slide. A joy to watch!
