TRAIN
Please use Tunbridge Wells Train station. Trains run regularly to this station and then it’s just a shuttle bus or taxi ride to the festival site.
Tunbridge Wells railway station operates services to various London main line stations (London Bridge, Cannon Street, Waterloo East, Charing Cross) and in the other direction, to Hastings.
For the latest updates and live train times please check nationalrail.co.uk before travel.
Please do not use Eridge Station as there is no access to/from the festival site.
TAXI
There is a taxi rank outside Tunbridge Wells Station and costs approximately £25 to the site using postcode (TN3 9HS).

Taxis have been instructed to use the designated Pick Up Drop Off point at Red Gate within the festival site.
If you are staying in Fancy Camping, please instruct the driver to follow the signs for Blue Gate.
SHUTTLE BUS
Go green and use the festivals shuttle bus running between Tunbridge Wells Train Station and the festival. Shuttle buses will operate on card payments only, cash will not be accepted.

CAR & MOTORCYCLE PARKING
Day, weekend, and dedicated motorcycle parking is available at the festival. Discounted advance parking is now available here.
One parking ticket is required per vehicle.
The car park will open 8am on Friday 16th (from 4pm on Thursday 15th for Thursday early entry ticket holders only) and close on Monday 19th at midday.
Fancy Camping has its own private car park available for any guests with a Fancy Camping Booking, no need to purchase an additional parking ticket.

I can’t go anymore; can I get a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable once purchased.
Can I give tickets to a friend?
All tickets will have the name of the purchaser on them. You may gift your ticket to a friend or family member.
All tickets have a unique barcode that is scanned upon entry to the festival. Once it has been scanned that barcode number will become void meaning the ticket cannot be re-used.
Can I resell my ticket if I cannot attend?
This year, Black Deer has partnered up with Twickets, an ethical ticket resale marketplace, enabling fans to buy and sell tickets at no more than their original face value. If you are no longer able to attend and would like to sell your ticket, please go to partners.twickets.live/blackdeerfestival.
Please be aware of touts and always purchase tickets from trusted sources. The only authorised agents are See Tickets, Ticketek and Twickets. Please do not buy tickets from a reseller or secondary marketplaces. This includes the major sites such as Viagogo, & Stubhub. You will often pay over the price and can be left out of pocket. Tickets may not be as described, fraudulent, not be delivered or already have been used meaning you get turned away at the gate.

Can I re-enter the festival with my ticket?
There is no re-entry into the arena for day ticket holders. Only Camping and Weekend Non-Camping ticket holders can leave and re-enter the arena.
Age restrictions
Black Deer is a family friendly festival, however all persons under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, aged 21 or over at all times.
There is a maximum of three under 18s per adult.
All ages much have an appropriate ticket to gain entry. Children under five are allowed to enter free of charge, however they must hold a corresponding ticket.
Additional age restrictions may be put in place inside the event for example, access to areas, such as Jackson Social which is 18+ as well as entertainment and activities.
Please note on entry all under 18s need to arrive at the gate with their parent or guardian over the age of 21.
Will tickets be available on the day?
We recommend you buy in advance to secure the best price and availability.
If any tickets remain, they will be subject to a higher on-the-door price tier.

WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN'T BRING
The essentials:
– Ticket – If you have been sent an E-Ticket we recommend printing a copy or downloading to your phone.
– Phone and battery pack
– Sun cream, hat and sunglasses
– Black Deer is a cashless festival, bring your credit/debit cards and/or digital cards/wallets on phones.
– Water bottle – water stations are located across the festival site to refill
– Photo ID
– Hand sanitiser
– Suitable footwear – the festival is held in open countryside
– Warm and wet weather clothing and remember to pack for all weathers.
If camping, remember:
– Trolley – helpful to get everything you need for your stay from the car park to your camping spot. You can purchase trolleys from outdoor and camping retailers prior to your stay.
– Tent, tent pegs and a mallet
– Comfy sleeping bag
– Warm clothing – It can get chilly at night
– Torch
– Bin bag – help keep Eridge Park litter free
– Snacks – we have a huge range of food traders, but snacks are always handy in the campsite
– Coffee cup – help us reduce the amount of single use cups used at the event.
Camping Chairs
For 2023 the festival is permitting camping chairs and stools to be taken into the Arena. There’s no need to pre-register with the accessibility team, but please be aware of others around you. We do ask that you use consideration, ensuring not to place chairs where they can cause an obstruction, in front of stages or in busy walkways. In the interest of safety, we may ask you to reposition your chair, please respect our team and relocate your chair.
Can I bring my own food?
In the campsite, of course!
But only baby food is allowed in the arena.
However, the food within the arena will be some of the tastiest you’ve ever had at a festival!
What food will be available?
Expect to be transported to the BBQ Smokehouses of America’s Deep South.
Plus they’ll be a host of street food traders serving global cuisine. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options will be available from many of our street food traders. A full list of our food traders will be available soon.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Alcohol can only be brought into the campsites (not arena) by those aged 18 and over. All alcohol must be in cans, plastic bottles or bag-in-box as no glass is allowed on site. Each person is allowed enough for personal consumption.

General camping is included in the cost of your weekend camping ticket.
Pre-pitched, Fancy camping, and Live-In vehicles all require an additional purchase.
If I’m camping, what areas can I access?
All camping tickets give access to the Arena and General Camping field.
Only Fancy Camping ticket holders have access to the Fancy Camping field.
Only Live-in ticket holders have access to the Live-in’s field.
Only Accessible camping ticket holders have access to the Accessible camping field.
Non-Camping ticket holders are not permitted to access any of the campsites.
Toilets / showers
Toilets and showers are in the general campsite. Premium showers can be found in the Fancy Camping field for customers with a Fancy Camping ticket.
A dedicated accessible shower and accessible toilets are in the accessible camping area.
When can I purchase Fancy Camping accommodation?

GENERAL CAMPING
What size tent can I bring into general camping?
There are no set pitch sizes or restrictions on size of tents within reason, you could bring a two-person tent or set up your own bell tent, the choice is yours.
Can I bring my car into the campsite?
No, all cars must be parked in the car park.
If you are towing a caravan you will need to park the towing vehicle in the live-ins / fancy camping car park.
Is there accessible camping?

Is there a designated family camping area?
We don’t have a separate area for Family Camping. The general campsite is secure with plenty of space and easy access to facilities onsite.
How far is it from the car park to the festival/campsite?
A 15-20 minute walk (depending on where you park) from the car park to the festival entrance.
Can I bring a BBQ or start a fire?
BBQs are welcome in the campsites. Please make sure you use the designated areas and raised blocks to put the BBQ on, so we don’t damage the land.
Any BBQs not in these designated areas will be extinguished.
Don’t ever place a BBQ inside or near your tent. BBQs release fatal carbon monoxide even when they cool down.
Please dispose of your BBQs in the metal bins provided in the BBQ areas.
Is there a campsite shop?
Within the campsite there will be a food trader specialising in toasties and baguettes along with a neighbouring coffee stall.
There will be a shop within the Arena (next to Haley’s bar) selling camping accessories.
It has the same opening hours as the Arena.
LIVE-IN VEHICLES
I am bringing a live-in vehicle which tickets do I need?
Each person needs a live in weekend ticket and each vehicle needs a live-in pitch. One complimentary car parking pass in separate field is also provided.
A standard pitch vehicle must fit in a 7m x 6m space with a maximum of five people per pitch.
An oversized pitch vehicle must fit in a 7m x 12m space, with a maximum of eight people per pitch.
Can I come and go in my Live-In vehicle from the Live-In field?
Once parked you cannot leave and re-enter the live-in field in your live-in vehicle.
Can I visit friends in the Live-In field?
Only Live-in ticket holders have access to the Live-In field.
What facilities are there in the Live-In field?
There are showers, toilets, and facilities for disposal of toilet and grey water waste. In addition, there is an area for BBQs.
PAYING ON SITE
Can I use cash on-site at the festival?
Black Deer Is a cashless festival, bring your credit/debit cards and/or digital cards/wallets on phones.
There will be NO cash transactions and no cash machines at Black Deer Festival 2023.
