“… an absolute riot of fun, some damned fine music and a genuine festival highlight.”

The Arkansas Porch Sessions debuted in 2022 and were a hugely popular addition to the deer park spectacle. Powered by Arkansas The Natural State, artists Willi Carlisle, Dylan Earl and Jude Brothers delivered mini-sets throughout each day and kept festival-goers enraptured with their songs, stories and personalities. All three are back this year and are joined by Arkansas polymath Bonnie Montgomery. We managed to get Willie and Dylan to visit us backstage in 2022, where they spoke and sang their truth as always, but deer park regulars know less about Jude Brothers and Bonnie Montgomery, so let us introduce you to these acclaimed Arkansas artists…
Jude Brothers
An Arkansas-born, New Mexico-formed folk hero with a penchant for whimsy, the singular songwriting style of Jude Brothers is passionate and playful. “Spellbinding and poetic,” says Folk Radio and we wouldn’t argue with that, either. With lyrics communicating the duality of existential dread and the intoxicating thrill of living and loving, Jude Brothers’ vocal shape-shifting is a mystical landscape of their own creation. With guitar, tenor banjo or harp in tow, this Ozark bard bridges the tangible and ethereal landscapes of life. Don’t miss them.
