The English Midlands may not be the first place that springs to mind when considering the home of country music. However, Derby based Lew Thomas Band have made it their mission to capture the raw and honest heart of this quintessentially American genre in their songs and electrifying live performances. The band’s debut album ‘Walks, Talks & Fallouts’ has received huge praise, most notably from Dean Jackson of BBC Introducing. Having aired over half the album on the East Midlands Introducing show, the nostalgic piano ballad ‘Where We Belonged’ was then selected for Radio 6’s ‘Introducing Mixtape of the Week’. The band’s latest release, a 4-track EP entitled ‘Laid Out On The Floor’ has cemented them in the UK as one of the most electrifying young new bands on the Country Music scene, securing them slots at Buckle & Boots and Osfest. The release of the single Wildfire from the EP also secured them their 8th airing on BBC Introducing in the short time since forming, with talks of Country legend Bob Harris giving it a spin.
