Jon Finch and Ben Merrington – founders of Grillstock, the largest most authentic BBQ festival outside the US – are bringing almost a decades worth of experience and expertise on all things slow n’ low, to Black Deer, with ‘Live Fire’.
Introducing Live Fire
Live Fire brings together everything we love about outdoor cooking and the lifestyle that surrounds it.
Expect expert demonstrations on foraging, butchery and knife making from master craftsmen, through to the very best authentic low ‘n’ slow American BBQ and live-fire cooking from industry leading chefs.
And of course, not to forget The Gospel Brunch proving that at Black Deer Sunday isn’t a day of rest – it’s a day for great food and righteous music!
At the heart of the Live Fire Arena is where you’ll discover the demo stage as well as plenty of seating and a well stocked bar. As the sun starts to set, the stage makes a transition from demo stage to music stage with live blues, slide guitars and DJ sets – to soundtrack an evening of kicking back by the fire-pits and sharing stories with friends.
Surrounding the stage is a hand-picked collection of the finest southern-style street food traders the UK has to offer. Everything from low ‘n’ slow pit BBQ, custom smokers and large joints of meat roasted over live fires through to great deep south comfort and soul food.
Live Fire will be a festival food experience like no other – and one set to take centre stage at Black Deer…
