What is Supajam?
SupaJam Education in Music and Media is an award-winning unique educational provider for students aged 16-19+ with Special Educational Needs and Educational Health Care Plans. Supajam’s mission is to help vulnerable young people who have previously fallen out of formal education engage, achieve and progress in a unique and inclusive learning environment. With 80% of SupaJam students having some form of social, emotional or behavioural challenge to overcome, the organisation gives them a safe home to reignite their desire to learn and grow.
Supajam at Black Deer Festival 2023
With inspirational and intergenerational activities planned, the Supajam area in the deer park for 2023 will host performances, workshops, a silent disco and much more, including:
– Singer-songwriter and band sets from the SupaJam students and Local & Live artists
– Song Circles from ARC Songwriters giving young artists a chance to perform in an intimate setting alongside more experienced songwriters
– Guest artist drop-in performances from acclaimed names such as Hannah White, Roseanne Reid, Kate Ellis, My Girl The River, Doug Levitt, The County Affair, UK Dobro Society, The Irish Passport Band + more
– Talking heads interviews on-stage with Hannah White and Roseanne Reid
Alongside a Podcast Pod, The Jam Shed and Retro Games, there’ll never be a dull moment for the Young Folk, teenagers and big kids with Supajam at Black Deer in 2023!
